Ten women describe their unique experiences in rural, regional or remote Australia, in the silent spaces where everyone knows your business and yet doesn’t want to get involved. The vastness and lack of local services became yet another tool in the perpetrator’s arsenal of physical, verbal and sexual abuse, coercion, and emotional and financial abuse. Each woman reached a turning point. They realised they mattered and unearthed their determination to escape and rebuild their lives.
