Season 3: Naidine stops to hide out with a friend, but someone else got there first. She escapes only to learn a new threat faces her sister, Jillian. Season 4: Calista’s back, and she’s both in trouble and major trouble for Naidine. The peace never lasts, and the danger is rising. Every misstep has the potential to destroy those she holds dear. *** This story was originally published on Vella. Some of the characters are also featured in the Devya’s Children series, a YA scifi collection featuring teens with special powers struggling with the balance between safety and security and using one’s Gifts to help the world.
