When interior decorator Madison Night accepts an assignment in Palm Springs with handyman Hudson James, she expects to have designing days and romantic nights. But after spotting a body in the river by their job site, she begins to buckle under the strain of recurring nightmares and grows dependent upon sleeping pills. Soon, she's learned more about the crime than she'd like to - thanks to girl talk with friends, pillow talk with Hudson, and smack talk with the local bad boys. Eventually, Madison decides that she should seek professional help to deal with her troubled sleep - but, before she can, the murder victim she spotted in the river is identified as the very doctor she's been advised to see. Can what Madison knows help solve the murder?
