The Adventures of Sally by P. G. Wodehouse is a novel about a young, pretty, and popular American woman who lives in a boarding house in New York and works as a taxi dancer. At her twenty-first birthday, she inherits a fortune. Excerpt from the book: “Sally looked contentedly down the long table. She felt happy at last.
