Or at least, I thought I had… Chloe Harkin is my mother’s newest obsession, doing everything possible to push us together. I don’t want to like her. I don’t want to be her friend. I want nothing to do with her. But when Chloe’s put in a dangerous situation, I can’t stop myself from stepping in. I’ve been taught, when someone’s in need, to do my part to help, including offering her a place to stay. Big freaking mistake.
