Alongside his assistant Laurie—a former Hunts Point prostitute with her own scars—Bruce follows every lead, no matter how dark. Their search uncovers a shadowy figure known only as “The Cowboy,” a child sex trafficker who leaves almost no trace. Following his nearly invisible trail, Bruce and Laurie are pulled deep into the brutal underbelly of human trafficking, all the way to Houston, Texas. With time running out, they must find Madison before she disappears for good.
