"Know ye not this parable? And how then will ye know all parables?" — Mark 4:13–19 The Parable of the Sower serves as the foundation for this inspirational Christian novel, which follows the lives of two unforgettable characters: Cassandra and Jazzrah. Cassandra is a thirty-year-old African American professional engineer from Detroit, Michigan. After overcoming poverty, drugs, illness, and countless hardships, she finally appears to have achieved the success she long dreamed of. Jazzrah was once an angel in heaven who joyfully worshiped God alongside his brother Seth. Everything changed when Bial, an angel entrusted with proclaiming God's glory, became consumed with pride and convinced a third of heaven's angels to rebel. Cast out of heaven for their disobedience, Jazzrah entered a new and darker existence. On earth, Jazzrah receives a chilling assignment: collect the souls of one million women to earn promotion within Bial's earthly kingdom. His only requirement is to identify each target at birth. When Cassandra is born in Detroit, she becomes one of his chosen souls. For the next thirty years, Jazzrah relentlessly attacks her using the very deceptions described in Mark 4—affliction, persecution, the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and lust—to draw her away from God. One cold December night, Cassandra reaches her breaking point. Standing alone on a rooftop, prepared to end her life, she is watched silently by Jazzrah, who believes his mission is finally complete. But as she prepares to step forward, the last remnant of goodness within the fallen angel ignites a fierce battle between light and darkness. Know Ye Not This Parable chronicles the events that brought Cassandra and Jazzrah together and reveals whether redemption, grace, or deception will ultimately prevail.
