Und das Freibad, in dem sie seit über 60 Jahren jeden Morgen schwimmt, soll Eigentumswohnungen weichen. Kate fühlt sich einsam in London. Als sie über Rosemarys Freibad für die Zeitung schreiben soll, öffnet sich ihr eine neue Welt. Kate zeigt sich nicht gerne im Badeanzug, aber mit Rosemarys Hilfe überwindet sie ihre Schüchternheit. Kate und Rosemary werden Freundinnen und beschließen, gemeinsam das Freibad zu retten. Denn der Pool ist mehr als ein Ort zum Schwimmen – er ist das Herz der Nachbarschaft.
