I've tried many ways to improve my colitis flare ups and upset stomach with little success until now. Once I figured out what works since having this autoimmune disease since the mid 1990's, I decided to share my story in hopes that it can help others to achieve remission. I have had three fistulas to date. The first fistula was treated with surgery, which I was told there was a 50 percent chance of healing. The complications that came from this procedure took many months to heal. I decided there has to be other alternatives so I began researching. My aunt is a dietitian researcher for a large prestigious university and we had many conversations about Omega-3's helping to heal the colon which led to me using fish oil supplements and researching the ayurvedic diet and treatments. I found out that kings have had this problem and that it has been documented throughout history. I have reached remission and have learned how to stop fistulas from developing from getting my gut healthy and allowing my body to cure itself with the right foods, supplements, etc. I have listed my journey and the regiment that has helped me achieve remission.
