Joe Lawler, retired veteran street-cop, has quit the cold rainy Midwest Chicagoland and relocated to the 115-degree summers and the mountains and deserts of Southern Nevada. And, oh yes, Glitter Gulch, the Las Vegas Strip, and it's 24/7 gambling, booze, sex, shows, lights and glitz. Lawler takes a part-time police gig, starting over in the Las Vegas suburbs, while awaiting a full-time job with Las Vegas Metro PD, or the Coroner's Investigators to come through. Lawler must buck the system, Stewart PD Detectives, his chief, and his burnt-out partner, as well as Southern Nevada police jurisdictional rivalries to prove his investigative mettle and to prevent any further deaths. He knows he is up to it. But is Sin City up to him?
